At Hogarth Chocolate Makers, we are passionate about crafting exceptional chocolate from the finest SLAVE FREE cacao beans sourced globally. Our small factory in Nelson is where the magic happens—each batch is made by hand, utilizing traditional techniques that preserve the natural flavors of cacao. We sort, roast, crush, winnow, grind, and mold our chocolate with care, ensuring minimal ingredients to highlight the true essence of cacao, which is often lost in mass production. Collaborating with Ana Aceves of Sugarcube Studios, we’ve also designed unique packaging that tells the story of Karl’s journey from sailor to chocolate maker, reflecting the voyage of cacao to our shores.
